  • Winners First edition of Festival Flamenco de Cortometrajes. See winners
  • The making of Carlos Saura’s last film “Flamenco, flamenco” by Paco Milán is to debut at _fflac.
  • The Festival Flamenco de Cortometrajes will offer an exclusive showing of the TV movie “Despacito y a Compás”, a film based on the life of Cristina Hoyos, with the collaboration of TELECINCO.
  • With the registration period closed, the _fflac has selected 26 shorts that will participate in the contest, and 4 documentaries for the parallel show.  We are grateful to all those people who sent in their work.  The event is scheduled to take place September 3rd to 5th, 2010.  See shorts selected
  • The jury for this first edition will be presided over by dancer and actress Cristina Hoyos, and includes relevant names from the world of cinema and flamenco.  See panel members
  • The Festival Flamenco de Cortometrajes is honored to pay tribute to the important star of flamenco singing, Dolores, Jiménez Alcántara, “La Niña de La Puebla”.   At the festival, a documentary will be shown about her life and work, with the collaboration of Canal Sur. 

 

 

  • Another person to be honored at the festival is film director “Paco Milán”, one the most active people making documentaries related to flamenco.  His movies Around Flamenco, Terúo, un Samurai Flamenco and Tanto Tiempo, are part of the _fflac progam and scheduled to be shown in the parallel exhibition.
